Part name

I pulled a part off of a stock S5 T2 rx7 and I don't know what it is.
It's the part that goes in between the turbo and the top mounted intercooler. It has another inlet for another hose to lead into it but I don't know where that hose goes either.
The reason why I ask is because the part I pulled off had HKS stamped into it and the word "yes". I'll get a pic up ASAP.

Post a picture and I can tell you exactly what it is. Sounds like the a blow off valve to me though.

Does it look something like this???

Very rare.

It will alert you to the presence of Ming the Merciless...if that's something you're worried about.

If we were talking OEM, Mazda's name for that piece between the turbo and intercooler is a charge pipe. You obviously have some aftermarket piece, but the name pretty much still applies.

Of course, the blow off valve attaches to that pipe. Still a little early for me. My coffee is sitting on my desk - and I have not drank it yet.

100% it isn't a BOV because it's hollow all the way through.
Attached is a picture I could find of the part.
I'll get the actual picture up tonight!

Sounds to me like a charge pipe. The tube coming off of it goes to the BOV. You probably have an aftermarket piece for use with an aftermarket BOV.

You should be ashamed for creating a nerdapacolypse. You have melded two different sci-fi universes together. Everyone knows that Buck Rogers arch enemy was Killer Kane, while Ming the Merciless was Flash Gordon's arch enemy!!

Pathetic Earthlings!!

Here it is. Is it worth keeping? What does it do? Can I use it with a front mounted intercooler and aftermarket bov?

Stock, no, but stock fitment, yes. Looks similar to the Blitz unit that's all over eBay.

No, I just wasn't convinced myself.
I've never seen one like it so when everyone was saying BOV I wanted to just see if there was someone else that had one.
