Car wont start without using ATF, once started doesnt want to idle

Hey guys, just replaced my motor with another S4 13b because my coolant seals were blown in my old one. After installing the new one, i've been running into some issues.

First off the here is a list of all new parts.
Good Compression motor
New Fuel Filter
Freshly Cleaned Injectors
New Coolant Temp Sensor
New Plugs

I have tried the deflooding procedure, and it only works if I add ATF to the plug holes, and then it fires right up...but it wont idle on its own. I've tried adjusting the idle, but it did not help.

Once running, the car smokes, heavily, even after all of the ATF has been burnt off. From what I can tell, the smoke is mostly gas as it is very potent and makes my eyes hurt. I can smell raw gas through the exhaust.

When the RPMs are low, and I rev it, it struggles, but once its in the higher rpm range, its purrs like a kitten. These issues were also an issue before the new motor, although I blamed the issues on the coolant seals and didn't think about it being anything else.

Things I have not checked, mainly because i dont know how.
TPS
AFM
BAC

Im pretty stumped, and I've read through a bunch of similar threads, but none have mentioned the car running when adding ATF and then not idling, so Im not sure if my case is different or not.

Someone point me in the right direction, would love to get this machine back on the road.

Thanks,
Jessica

You probably just need to adjust the TPS, but I don't know how to on an S4. A quick search should net you good results.

Question:have you Compression tested the Engine with your own eyes or relied on someone's word when you got the engine?

The TPS will cause it to not start?
I have not tested the motor for compression yet, but I can do that tonight.
Havent checked timing but ill do that tonight as well.

Do a compression test on your own, but check the timing as well.

Line the yellow notch on the crank pulley up with the tit on the front cover and pop the cap on the CAS.
If it does not look like this picture, adjust it so it does. You might have to re stab it.

i was jerking off to it earlier.

"gearssssss"

anyways... if it is a turbo engine make sure the injector wires are installed in the proper order and not both primaries to a single rotor pair.

Compression is at 60psi on the pulses and only holds 85psi cumulative. Looks like we may have found the problem.

That compression certainly is low, but once started the car can run on it. Sounds like while you'll need another engine its time to keep diagnosing.
