UPDATE:
Took the car to a famous rotary mech today by the name of Shane, he skillfully adjusted everything in 10 minutes... and now I have rock solid Idle!!! - Thank you Shane!

But I think I have a broken brake line somewhere or my master brake cylinder is leaking because the reservoir was almost empty and I had to press all the way before I could get any (a little) of braking... any ideas?

You're gonna need a power posher, pad assortment and compound assortment following the wet sanding, Results can be great though, been there done that.

I will admit, this was my first time. After wetsanding the hood (pic 3) I scared the crap out of myself when it dried. It turned out great. But now I use a california wiper blade when I wet sand so I can quickly check my progress. Pic 1 ir before, pic 3 is after sanding, pic 2 is after first buff with compound.
