Racing Beat. I have one. It rules. The Pacesetter (or Pace-"*******") headers have a reputation of not fitting well, and the flange cracking. Just spend the few extra dollars, and get a Racing Beat one. They are used by Mazda to tune racing RX-7's, Miata's, and Protege's. They have over 20 years in rotary experience. They know their ****.....

Simply don't get them. Enough said.
I know they are cheap, but how comfortable do you think a $5 pair of shoes will be???

Why would you spend $100 to gain no power, amke the car a hundred times louder (NOT in a good way!!) , and have to replace the part a few years down the road???

I have gotten them, and I regretted it. Damn, one pair I have has lost half it's wall thickness to rust in the last year.
They aren't equal length, they are thin walled, and sound like ***.
Get RB.

Also- if your engine isn't ported, there isn't much reason to get headers anyways. Evem with the RB ones you will only gain 2-3 hp in the top end. Defnitaely not worth the noise in my opinion. Now- a ported engine is another story...

I bought some "Pacesetter" headers from the local RX-7 shop for $175. Don't really know if they WERE Pacesetter cuz there were NO stamps or decals or anything on them, but the guy said they were that brand....

They were black, put that paint burned off on start up. HAd 'em for over a year now and they are doing fine. Nothing rusted, nothing cracked, no OVERHEAT EXH. SYSTEM light . They bolted up PERFECTLY to the stock cat. Even had a nice hole for the O2 sensor.

I can't say for 100% sure that they're PACESETTER, but they do make me sound like a crazy chainsaw and add NOTICABLE HP on top en .

Sounds like pacesetter... they don't have any markings or anything....
But I HOPE NOT if you paid 175 for them! Thats a LOT for paceshitter, normaly they are about 110.

RB just rocks. I have heard a Paceshitter w/ similar catback as mine, and I have heard mine with a massive leak from around the flange.....and mine STILL sounded better!!!!

No, the RB header is designed for off road (ie ILLEGAL) use. This is a legal system, using the Racing Beat header, and a Mazdatrix cat. Or, just get a Racing Beat Presilencer, and swap out exhausts every time you do emissions tests!!

yeah, but there is no way that bonez cat will mount up to the RB Header. It might mount up to the Mindtrain header but i have no personal experience with that brand.

Unless your motor is ported headers are a waste of money (and hearing)... the RP down pipe combo is good enough trust me.
