Oxygen Sensor

When I bought my car, 1990 GXL, it had racing beat headers on it. I'm trying to replace my oxygen sensor and for the life of me can't find it.

There is a wire that runs down to halfway down the setup, under the car before the cat.

So is the Oxygen Sensor not there or could it be the thing halfway down the pipe? It is no where around the exhaust ports I've checked thoroughly, unless someone can show me a pic of exact location.

Thanx
Ian Welin

those headers have no premade hole for the O2 sensor - so the buyer must have a bung welded in for it. This means it can be anywhere, but usually they are very close to the exhaust ports. Search the whole length of the exhaust - the O2 sensor will be hard to miss.

It should be fairly close to the exhaust ports. Although Ive never seen a rb header, so I cant help you really. There should only be 1 loose wire in that area... just follow where it goes.

My RB header has the O2 sensor about 6" from the collector, or roughly under the leading edge of the passenger seat. This is the factory installed bung for it. (aka: how they delivered it to me)

Did you request this? The ones that I have seen did not come with a bung pre-welded for the O2 sensor.

Me too...the O2 Sensor points West when Installed. Provided your facing the Engine Bay.

Mines aimed south at home, and east or north at school. Its a conspiracy!
