Opinions on this T2 87

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2472669466

Is it worth it?
I have the knowledge and drive to rebuild it, this is for my brother btw. I have worked on my FD completely, nearly everything dealing with the engine. Now I know this may be a bit harder yet Im willing to learn and I have the shop manual and rebuild video on its way. Tips anyone? Any input is GREATLY appreciated.

it already says it has a brand new atkins rebuild on it, im sure there isnt too much to do, but the again, these are FC's were talking about here. Its up to you, if you could spend an extra 500-1000 bux and get a good condition running one. just my 2cents

Well,... I'd say that its worth 2k.. you can tell that there is a brand new rebuild in it from the bead blasted front cover and rotor housings...... that is ... IF the motor isn't screwed up from sitting for six months with the intake off of it..... I wouldn't go over 2K on it though... its a little rough for that.

Just a question to inspire some sort of curiousity.

Why would you sell a car that just needs new injectors and the intake put back on for half it's value, when you could just get that work done and sell it for full price? Something doesn't add up in any sale where, it just requires this little bit of work to be running, if it required such a small amount of effort it would be worth fixing so you could sell it for a good price.

Plus in case that isn't enough to sway you, it's got the burgun'de-gay interior! STAY AWAY! haha, but seriously it always seems fishy to me when someone sells a car at low price when it requires "minimal" work.

That was my opinion when i say this car up for its first auction a month ago, it seems to be a pretty shady deal considering it needs maybe $100 worth of parts that he should by all means just have sitting around. I bet he hit full boost on a fresh rebuild and that bad boy is seized. He probably thought hmmm if I take this off they wont be able to try to start it to find out!
