only starts when it wants

I just got a rx7 a couple months ago...
it was in storage for about a year
when i test drove it, it was perfect.
the previous owner said he put a new engine and tranni at 113500
and it also has a new fuel pump.
I bought it with 119500

when i got it i:
changed oil
checked + cleaned out spark plugs
new battery
new coil igniter ( cause some how it didn't end up working a 1 after i got it)
and put additives to clean out gunk+water build up in fuel fuel lines
and also a gas tank cleaner
new fuses

I want/need to know why it sometimes it runs and turns over great and other time it will take 20 times to turn over?

when it turns over and runs it runs very good
I need to get this problem figured out before i get I'm parked in the middle of a snow storm
please help!?

system psi ,use a fuel pressure tester in line when the system is running i believe our fuel pressure is around 35psi.and see if you can hear the injectors clicking. Im sure they do if it does start sometimes. if the vehicle was in storage for awhile the injectors may start to become clogged because of the sitting fuel. Does it only happen when it cold? Is there an common when it doesnt start?fuel is thicker when its cold and can not pass through the injectors as easily.

well.. this sucks cuz i don't have a fuel pressure tester i don't any of my tools here...
it depends... it was snowing like crazy yesterday+ was pretty cold and it started...no problems
I read on another forum... about someone with a similar problem... and they described their starter... they said the hit it a couple time and the housing, i don't even know where the housing is.. and it worked for them...
I've only had this 7 for a month or so.. so i'm not really familiar with it just yet..

Unless you talked to a mechanic who knows rotary i wouldn't trust him. I would start by checking the compression, there are many write-ups on this throughout the forum, just use the search function.
