Only 6 pounds of Boost at WOT??

Yeah I just installed my autometer boost gauge and every time it just stops at 6 psi, it hits it at like 4k rpms, and stays there all the way to 7k rpms, I do have a precat, but no main cat and straight through mufflers.
could my precat be cloged?

yeah chuck that pre-cat. its a definate boost restriction. im not sure if thats the only reason, but its definatley a big one. make sure your gauge is reading properly. check the vac line and make sure its not pinched anywhere, has a good pressure source, etc.

That's spec boost, you shouldn't be going over that without a boost controller

Boost going up because you de-restrict the exhaust only means your wastegate isn't big enough
