OMP- Rigged for 2 cycle?

I dont know if this idea is crazy but would it be possible to use a block off plate where the OMP used to be and rig it up to pull 2 cycle from a oil canister or catch can....that way all ya do is keep the canister full of 2 cycle and drive no mixing it with gas......i know it might be far fetched, and i hope somebody has tried bc it would be awesome to not have to put 2 cycle in your gas every three days.

rotary aviation sells an adaptor plate that does exactly what you are describing, its like $80~90 for the 2nd gen model. FWIW i think its a good idea, and its one of my planned upgrades for my car.

Consider where the pump is leaking. More often than not, the lever is the one leaking. Finding a 0'ring takes some looking. If it is leaking, try a auto store behind the counter type thing. They usually keep a box of odd size o'rings for carbs etc.

A omp leaking at the mating surface is no big deal. Clean the omp surface and leave the old gasket in place. Apply a film of RTV. Then wet your finger with oil and rub it on the front cover mating area. That is so when/if you take the cover off in the future the RTV sticks to the OMP surface instead of the hard to clean front cover surface. Bolt it up and it should not leak.

I made one of Patmans omp's and used the above tequnique to seal b/t the cover and the blockoff plate/pump. It will not leak.
