OMP oil lines a problem?

mines an 88 na, and ive noticed when workin on my car, that the oil lines runnin from the OMP to the injectors are really stiff, and i imagine they are real brittle too, and they'd probably break if i looked at them wrong.

were they originally rigid lines, or were they originally soft, and mine just got stiff from old age?

are they easy to replace or should i scrap the oil injection after it fails and go premix? just curious

thanks
chris

I have been wondering the same thing. When I swapped my engine in, I accidentally snapped one near the injector area. Cost ~$15 to replace..
Imagine if your just driving and the engine/road vibrations/heat cause one to snap and no oil is going to a housing/rotor!!
That would suck... you think it would leak on the road and you'd notice in time or else...???
