Making new OMP lines, read the How-to, purchased the tubing but do not have those clamps.

Searched all over town, mechanic-lowes-homedepot-tractor supply, yet no one seems to have or ever heard of two-ear clamps and I also showed them the picture.

Is there any other clamp that will make do or will an autozone have the clamps?

Nothing else will work? I saw someone use some zip ties on here, but that doesnt look to good. No other options at either a lowes or homedepot? Really would like to get the car back on the road by this Friday.

You could just order them from mazda. If I read the catalog right, they are part number 9956-21-000. They are only a few bucks each.

I can't search right now, but search "Mcmaster-carr" or "Mcmaster" and "OMP clamps" and it should give you the mcmaster-carr part number. www.mcmaster.com. They have everything you need to do the job.

Just to let all of those know who may not want to order from the internet, you can make quality fit clamps without going the tedious internet way.

How?

Easy.

Cost?
For me, free.

Details?

All you need is about 6inch of 1/4 copper piping (got it for free at lawnmower mechanic).

Cut about 1/4in or less off of the piping. This will be your clamp. Copper is very malible.

Next step, slide the copper ring over the tube. Place the tube onto the injector then slide the ring to where you would like to clamp.

Take wire crimpers (used the ones on my wire strippers).
First use the circuluar crimp, this will either push one or both sides of the ring out, resembling an ear clamp.

Then, take the blunt crimp (the one where both sides are flat) and just smush together oneside of the ring. This will act like an ear clamp and securley tighten the teflon tubing.

Test by putting water or spit around the edge of the tubing and blowing throgh the other end. (Note, you must make sure there is no way for air to escape while blowing.) If you see bubbles, re-tighten. I saw no bubbles on all 8 clamps I made.

There is a writeup on making your own lines, and it lists the part number for the ear clamp. I just orded some yesterday. I you don't want to oder it online, it is something you will probably have to order from a specialty shop, though they might have them at hope depot or something.

I don't remember the exact product number but the web site is www1.mscdirect.com. It is in the section with hoses and fittings. If you search there is a pretty good write up including part numbers on the forum in the 1st gen section. I did it to mine and it worked great. I remember it was PFA tubing and a stainless clamp. Good luck.

Search for "oil injection lines" in the 2nd gen section. There is a writeup with the part numbers for the tubing and clamps from the MSC website.
