Why would you think your omp could cause your car to run rich? That being said, when do you see this blue smoke?

mate if you ever saw how much oil comes out of the omp even open at 100% you will know its not going to make it smoke much

how many miles are on the engine? your oil control rings/o-rings might be wearing out.

EVERY ROTARY will smoke at the beginning of start up, that's just the way it's. Nothing drastic though just a little tint of blue.

If you have a series four, and the OMP rod is stuck in the full up positon, you can create a smoke problem and a quickly depleted oil pan to go with it.

If the Air hole on top of the oil injectors is plugged up, you can rapidly deplete the oil in the oil pan, because the suction of the rotor will suck that oil feed line dry in a hurry. The air at the top is meant to equalize the pressure at each side of the injector to prevent that happening.

The Lubrication section of the FSM has you test the oil injector by making sure you can blow in one direction only. So do that.

By the way, your oil control rings are your real problem.

Sorry, but all rotary engine do NOT smoke on startup. If it does, then rebuild it to stop the smoke on startup.
