Omfg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Open Headers.....
Hey guys Like it says I got my FC with open headers no mufflers no pre-silencers 
damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The man who said a rotary with only headers is like hearing the voice of god was DEAD SPOT ON!!
I made two recordings with some cheap recorders that did not even have stereo but I am going to try and post them on here.
I have a geocities account but that will get maxed out like with three people so does anyone know anywhere else to upload sound clips for free?
I think my FC has an APB out lol!!
too bad the sound clips don't do it justice but they will give the guys that have VIRGIN ears the gist of it.

yeah I tried looking under the car while this was going on to see if there were any flames
MAN a rev higher than 3k will make your head hurt for about 20 minutes

in your opinion, was it louder than a v8 w/ open headers? I've heard many open v8's (at a drag strip) and they would shake the bleachers. They were so loud I thought the earth was going to split!
I'd try it, but I want a pipe that focuses the flames toward the ground instead of along the underside of the car. Maybe I'll order another flange and have a little curve pipe made, then I'll try it out at the drag strip to see how it compares to full exhaust.

Rotary: Ive had a few things fall off shelves in my garage from 3500rpm revs with my turbo ii. I believe at 7k it would shake a bleacher

Well a V8 would probably hake the ground a bit more but the FC is plenty loud when you consider that it is only 1.3 liters and not say 5.0 liters so if they were proportionate in size the rotary would be much MUCH louder.

yeah, there's obviously more gasses coming out of a v8, but rotaries don't have those nasty valves to quiet their roar .
We started my friend's TII with just a downpipe (but it stretched all the way to the cat-back, so it was really more like open mid pipe), and it wasn't that loud. I really want to try my N/A with open headers now.
Anyone got a sound clip of open headers with no exhaust diffusers?

I love the way a rotary sounds open header...but I couldn't resist...all that noise and its still slow...

matt, you have to run open header at the drags on monday!!! it will be soooooo cool!!!! I'll just make sure and bring ear plugs .

im not a big fan of loud exhaust but i like to be able to hear it.. so.. for lack of a better description.. i like my exhaust to have an 'exotic' sound, but not so in your face..
for those of you who have HEARD my car, yeah i know its not exotic, its just buzzy - I TOLD YOU im tryin' to fix it! (downpipe gasket keeps blowing apart - im already on my 3rd.. stupid cheap material)
