The bridge port is a type of porting that allows the intake charge to start to get into the chamber much earlier than the stock or street port.

As far as cost, if the engine is being rebuilt and getting a "street port", the bridge port will cost about another $150.

Having a bridge port is like having a big cam in a piston engine, less bottom end, more mid and upper range power, crazy idle and a real cool sound!

I guess we shouldn't mention the crazzy deal you got on that motor and turbo eh Mike??

There were actually a couple of us here who were looking to pick up the motor from Gino.. unfortunately (for us, and not for you) you had dibs and could get the funds together in time...

Enjoy the motor.. Gino put a hell of alot of work into he motor.. every last bolt is brand spanking new.. didn't reuse anything..

Thanks man! I'm sorry I was REAL ready for a new engine

I sold the turbo before I even got it and the engine.

But, the exhaust is not really ported, only kinda cleaned up. With that and the fact that I don't know the builder, I'm having my local engine builder take it apart, port the exhaust, redo anything he doesn't like and then give it back to me. An additional cost of about $900.

Why wasn't the exhaust opened up? It looks like all that was done was to pass a tool over the exhaust ports so it would look like something was done.

I'm very disappointed in the exhaust porting. It makes me question the rest of the engine and, makes me spend nearly another $1000 on it before installing.

I've never had a bridge ported engine. I've also never had an engine, other than stock, that had exhaust ports as small as these.

DC350, there's no chrome. It's the aluminum that's been polished.

Chome is usually cheaper and, you don't have to keep polishing on it to keep it shiney. Chrome is heavier and retains more heat though.

That's the problem with polished aluminum, you have to keep polishing it or else the white, aluminum corrsion shows up. Chrome doesn't require as much care.

All you'll need to care for either is available here: http://www.eastwoodco.com/

Looks like an HBAR to me? Is that a real 92?&nbsp It looks kind funny - custom comp?&nbsp The handgrips sure look Beretta, but the barrel looks USP to me.

Holy crap!&nbsp I say that pic with the kid next to the engine, and I thought the kid was a GIANT!&nbsp That's what I get trying to stare at pics when I first wake up - boy, the parallax really screw up my brain on the pic!

Good luck with the new project!

I wonder if these guys know that racoons are PESTS!nbsp They get into everything and like your trash...&nbsp I got no love for rodents.

you would think so wouldn't you??? no i didnt do anything at all, me and four of my friends were all drinking but so was the entire city. one of my friends actuall did something (threw a daiquieri (sp) at a guys door because he tossed water at us. two of my other friends got arrested for asking where they were taking him. one of them had his head rammed into a police car for nothing. believe me when i say that EVERYONE in that place is dirty.

when we were in court trying to get our stuff and go home, the lady who said she was looking for my friends papers was playing solitaire on her cpu.

no single person in that entire system did anything to help us out and most of them tried their hardest to screw us over.

this is one of the few times that i can honestly say that the system f*^ked us over for nothing.

I've never been arrested for nothing. You did it by commission or omission.

People are saying u should of posted this in the lounge.

Thats our point excacty. This is second gen forum for shut up about the street racing. If u wanna talk to ppl about how bad street racing is take it to the lounge or PM them and stop ******* posting about what your personal opions are!!!!!!!

Its our life we will live it how we want and what you have to say will not affect how i drive or where i drive. Its useless to flame street racing so dont ******* post it.

If we want to hear your opion on street racing we will ask for it.

PS maybe some of us dont want to pay $30 to make 3 ******* runs and maybe some of us dont havea track to go race at.

Please stfu about how u hate street racing. Everyone knows its dangerous but its fun like many things in life.
For your information, the 2nd gen forum is NOT the place for this thread. I suggest you read the forum rules, and quit telling people who are WITHIN the context of those rules to STFU.

Yo,

Thanks Mike! I just wanted you to post it to show that there is Justice, then there is Southern Justice. *wink*

I thought it was a 92F, but on second look I believe it's a Glock of some sort.

Either way, I love that pic! TII hood with the 2nd Amendment all over it. *grin* Good job!

Christ, the pictures of those guns would get you put in jail in Canada where only criminals are allowed to own guns - honest citizens are not allowed to have a gun unless it is registered and the firing pin is deposited in a bank vault so they can't use it. In this dumb country if someone breaks into your house and you shoot them you go to jail, not the criminal! We are so politically correct it makes you want to puke!

commission or omision??? what are you talking about. i didnt do anything and i was fortunate enough to not get arrested. i dont complain about traffic tickets or cops that give people a hard time, i am thankful that we have them, but i saw 2 of my friends get arrested for asking where they could pick up their friend, and then one of them got slammed on a trunk three times (not even struggling) so dont tell me i did anything because we got screwed over by a corrupt police force and that is that. i spent all the next day and 1400 dollars trying to get them out of jail while the people at the jail either refused to help me or just gave me incorrect information.

New Orleans Police Department is dirty and you cant tell me they aren't because i witnessed it first hand. maybe you have never been arrested, guess what, neither have I, but if i had asked those cops where the jail was i am sure they would have taken me there.

This isn't the Lounge. Keep threads on topic in here. People ask serious technical questions in here hoping to have them answered. Threads like this one take the focus away from those questions, and cause them to not be answered.
