Unhappy Okay here is my latest and greatest problem (pics included)

As some of you might have read on my other posts; I ordered a rebuild kit from Atkins they fucked up and sent me a N/A gasket kit & I was billed and paid for a Turbo kit. They tried to correct this issue by sending me all the “Hard” gaskets for the turbo setup at no charge to me… That was a great idea in theory but they forgot to include a bunch of small items; Turbo coolant line gasket, both turbo oil line gaskets, the intake/housing coolant O-rings, and a few other little items. So, I was looking through the parts book and I tried to compare all the little things I needed to get to complete my set.. I though I had everything down and I order all the small stuff from my local dealership for right around $20.

But now I see this: I can’t figure out where this gasket is supposed to go, the only thing I see that it even resembles is the ACV. Now look at the Turbo & non-Turbo parts pictures, I did not order one of these cause it says they are the same part number so I assumed I had the right item already. But look at the picture I took, it clearly does not line up.

HELP!

Is this gasket for something totally different? If this is the gasket for the N/A ACV what is the part number for the Turbo setup? They appear to be the same. I need this gasket. I have to pass smog.

Thx

you wont be able to use the one gasket. It is for an NA ACV, and will not come close to matching yours.

Bah I was afraid of that ... and I just noticed I was looking at D-Code numbers!! Ahh, the actual part number is different at least i know what to order.

Hey, I am tossing my air pump once I pass smog anyways .. how does thast gasket look on the ACV now.. you think that will do just to get it all up N running pass smog then yank it?

That gasket looks fine. I reuse stock gaskets many times, when they come off on one part intact. Just add a finger thickness of sealant over that side of it before installing the avc.

Atkins is a good company to work with. Glad you are straight.
