ok about to lose it.. (safc2 problem)
ok i have an 87 t2 with an 89 jspec half bridge motor. (around 5k miles on it) it ran fine then like a dumbass i decided the safr i had was not good enough and tried to replace the standalone cheaply.. by buying an Apexi s-afc2. i recieved it took out the safr and installed the safc2. it ran fine (except hesitation over 3.5-4k but that was due to the larger than stock secondary injectors ~800cc) but i had to go back to college before i had a chance to tune it more and get it running better. i disconnected the battery and let it sit for a month. i come back on saturday and try to start it and it tries to start but nothing.. took plugs out and it seemed to be flooded..did the unflooding trick (used oil and the whole thing MANY MANY TIMES) i get the occasional start for 3 seconds and die.. i am sure it is flooding..but i can not figure out what to set the safc2 on to keep it from getting too much fuel. it is seriously pissing me off. im seriously considering trading my car or selling it or even a v8 swap
but the thing is right now i need a car and have no money..so the v8 thing is almost out of the question. what the **** do i do to get my car running? i mean is there a trick to it? do i try to get another safr since the safc2 doesnt seem to be working? do i keep trying? am i doing something wrong? damn it i need a drink...

I can only guess that having no electricity killed/erased your current settings. Unless it has a storable memory.
Maybe try resetting it. Check Apexi's website for a manual.

everything is exactly the way i had it set before when i first installed it and it ran fine. when i first installed it, it started right up and ran fine. then i unhooked it because i was going to be gone for a month. and the settings were intact when i replugged it back in. and today i reset it and still the same damn thing..ive checked all the hoses and saw nothing wrong with them. wiring nothing..i may have to look over the safc2 thing again to see if anything is loose hooking into the ecu harness.
I got a regular piston compression tester at advance autoparts... it's like 25 bucks I think. I just did the test and took the tester back... told them it didn't work on a rotary :-) (not exactly a lie). It was hard as hell to connect it cuz the hose had to be twisted inside the little space between the sparkplug and god knows what else but we got it done.
not sure. if i cant get it started with that it will be for under 300 of course. ( i paid 320 plus shipping) but ill know by probably tomorrow or saturday if im selling it. ill let you know.
hang on, before you go assuming pop goes the weasel.. if it ran with the Safc, and it ran fine before you parked, and it's giveing you problems like flooding, i'd try some different unflooding methods.. I know half the people recommend the ATF/oil trick, (which you said you tried), but the only one i've ever gotten to work is the tow-start... where you tie your 7 to the beat up plymouth voyager van that everyone has one or two of lying around in the family, pull it to ~20-30 MPH, then drop it in 2nd gear... it'll smoke like hell, but it'll start..
I believe if you're having flooding problems, your compression will be considerably lower on both rotors (in the 40-50 psi range), as the problem is that the oil got eaten away from the seals by the gas that flooded the engine...
can anyone back me up on this?
hope this helps

I will.
And the most common causes of "starts and dies" is either a fucked/disconnected AFM or a massive vacuum leak.
When you installed the S-AFC, did you solder all of your connections? Have you gone back and double and triple-checked all of your wiring? It's a PITA, but if you have two wires switched...
Go over your TID and all of the turbo-related piping. Look for cracks, fraying, disconnections, all the good stuff.
