lol
I'll take whatever compliments I can get...
ive been trying to start it for a week..i had no problem when i first installed it. ran fine..only thing i can think of is that the safc was running lean or something like that..
i actually meant the you're in that one to be me.... but if you need reassurance too
Razorback.. i'd seriously try the pull starting thing, it seems to work for a lot of us, where other unflooding falls short..

i have a half bridge. not sure if pulling the safc is a good idea.

Check error codes - I think the AFM is still disconnected from faulty wiring.
If it's the wiring you've fucked with that screwed up the car, 99.44% it's the wiring that's screwed.
If you want to go V8 swap that badly, I dunno why you're wasting your time with the car in the first place.

dude my car did this same ****. i installed my SAFC and had the AFM wires hooked up wrong (output switched with the input) and so my ECU didnt see a AFM signal... bad times.. check the damn wiring!
also, i think problem #1 is you're trying to run a half-bridgeported motor on a stock ECU and piggybacks... i'd sell all that **** and get a haltech or microtech if you plan on making any big power, but thats just my two cents.

i know my motor is gone so i pulled it today. im gonna buy a jspec from somewhere so i will probably have some internals for sale in the near future. and i have a safc2 for sale as well. that and i had very shitty compression.
last time I checked the motor had to be warm and the battery full for a compression check...I once got a 87TII(my first turbo) because a car shop did a compression test and told the poor guy the car was DEAD...the ****** would not start...we towed it home and just for the hell of it, I popped it in 3rd and left it there for about 3 miles and BAM, she started right up...compression was just fine when I tested it when it was warmed up

"last time I checked the motor had to be warm and the battery full for a compression check" At least thats what it says in the manual i believe. I read somewhere that the numbers you get from a piston compression tester are not accurate. Someone said not to look at the numbers, instead, look to see if the numbers from the front and back are close together. I do not know if this is correct or not..but i really do believe it was your AFM. However, it does sound like you really wanted to swap the motor for some reason. I do not know if you checked and double checked the AFM, like Reted adviced, but i would have done that prior to pulling the motor out.

"wtf? Replace what stand alone? what do you mean replace the stand alone with an safc?"
i think that he means that he wanted to replace the current piggy back system for another while trying to still meet his budget.
