oiling the tranny!

Question oiling the tranny!

how exactly would you oil your shifter b/c my 3rd gear is forever grinding i know if its my syncro i wont fix by oiling but would rather calm it down for a lil while at a time b/c i dont have the money to fix well jus wondering cuz i need to do something !

There's a key on the keyboard that inserts a small dot between sentences. Please use it.

Second, the oil in the transmission can be changed easily. On NAs, there is a drain plug in the bottom. There is one fill plug on the drivers side, about in the middle of the transmission. TIIs have two plugs, one located in the middle of the transmission, one located near the rear.

This will probably not fix your syncro problem.

THis has nothing to do with your shifter, it is a synchro problem. "Oiling your shifter" won't do anything. Start saving for a gearbox rebuild.
