Oil Seal Springs Colours
I am rebuilding a 13BT engine
its says the cream springs go on the fount faces on both rotors, is the fount of the rotor is the one with the gear on it
if that right the cream springs go on both of the rotors with the gear side on it?

I don't what you mean about the colors ... my springs were just copper. but the rounded edge needs to lock in the "divit groove" pointing left/counter clockwise...while the square side should point up so it locks in the notch of the oil ring.

Mine had no colors... and the guide I was using to put the motor back together mentioned nothing about colors.. just about the sytle of the groves & the slots in the seal. Like I explained above.
Dif. rebuild kits maybe???

you cant mess up on the springs, round end goes down,
the metal seals are hard to mess up on as well, the side with the groove for the spring goes down..
screw colors, use common sense

Well, according to mazda, blue go on the rear of the rotor, and the cream/white colored go on the front I assumed the front was the side of the rotor with the gear. Not sure why they had suggested this, but this is how I built it, which is what the book and mazdatrix said
