I use Valvoline 20-50 racing in the summer and castrol 10-30 in the winter.. (car only gets maybe 500 miles on it from november to april)

Change it three times a year... once in the fall to 10-30... drain that out in spring and go back to 20-50 in april (like i said, about 500 mile on that change)

change it at 1750 miles which is usually about july

Change it again at 1750 which is usually september..

Then change it back to 10-30 first last weekend in october

By that time, I'm usually around 4K miles, thus leaving a cushoin of 1K miles for my emissions exemption!!!

I just went through a gallon of Penzoil tcw3 two stroke oil...... I'm switching back to Quicksilver Marine Tcw3.... Twice the price... half the stink!!!!!!

I was running RP Racing 51 (20W-50) before, but now switched to Amsoil Series 2000 20W-50. Works great! Who said don't run synthetics? Total crap.

i use 20w50 in the summertime for the reason i live in florida and rotorys tend to run hotter then 4cylinders and 6cylinders and in the heat oil breaks down easier and running too thin of a oil might not cool and lubricate ur engine the way you hope....... anywho come winter ill use 10w40 cause obviously it will be cooler and it wont break down as quick as it does in summertime......

Chevron Delo 400 15W40 goes into everything I own unless Castrol or Valvoline is on sale. The Delo is fine for gas engines and is very good for engine cleanliness.

From Chevron's web site:
Chevron Delo 400 Multigrade is formulated with ISOSYN™ base stocks, which rival synthetics in critical engine tests and an optimal blend of the latest technology in dispersant, detergent, oxidation inhibition, antiwear, corrosion inhibition, viscosity improver, and defoaming additives.

20-50 is thicker, more cushion for the pushin' at high engine speed. It also has to do with the clearances between the rotor bearing and e-shaft.

You dont know whats under your hood? Some people go under the hood to WORK on thier car! Also, what does the owner's manual recommed for oil changes? 7000 miles? I hope you dont follow that thing all the way. When i first got into rotaries, a good friend of mine told me to run Kendall 20-50 racing oil (the green ****). He's built many rotaries and thats what he's come up with that works the best.
