oil pressure sender

oil pressure sender

i bought a new oil pressure gauge that has a new oil pressure sender with it. would i be able to just swap out the stock one with the new one? is there anything i should be worried about?

Sounds like it's aftermarket. As has been covered MANY times before, the thread pitch on the oil pressure sender is 1/8" BSPT (BRITISH pipe thread). You need an adapter to match your aftermarket sender (probably 1/8" NPT).

Yes, it will work. Why wouldn't it? Are you SURE you have 1/8" BSPT and not NPT?

If the adapter came with the gauge, it's 1/8" NPT. You need to go to the local hydraulic shop and get a 1/8" BSPT adapter.
