Oil pressure sender?
For those of you who have removed/swapped the oil pressure sender -- convenienly tucked into a corner under the oil filter-- how did you do it? Right now I'm doing a lot of cursing, and having trouble getting my smallest wrench on it... am I missing something that makes this simple? or do I just have to tough it out? get another tool? if so, what?

14mm open end wrench. Not that difficult. Then I don't have pwr steering so maybe it's more difficult with pwr steering in the way. I wouldn't put vice grips on the housing, myself. That cover isn't that tough.
If installing a aftermarket sensor/gauge, here's something you might consider. I cut the part of the original unit off at the base of the housing which left me with the part that screws into the engine plus the flats where the wrench does its wrenching. Then I tapped threads into that leftover part that matched the new sender. This outfit lets the new sender
standoff from the engine a bit more. Actually my sender does not attach directly to this outfit. I screwed a tee into it. The sender goes into one port of the tee and the other outlet is for a aftermarket mechanical gauge. When the aftermarket is not in use I plug it with.....a plug.

Many thanks, all.. I ended up managing with a combination of the open-ended 14 mm wrench, a strap wrench, moving a wire bundle and taking a sensor wire off some **** near the oil pressure sender.
The strap wrench was a little bit quicker for removal (to me), but nigh useless for tightening the new one back on (just due to where the obstructions happened to be). So, I went with the slower 14mm for tightening the new one..
(got the strap wrench idea from fastrnyou's post)
Again, thanks! Got the job done... now I have another issue that I might start a new thread about if I can't find an answer in the FSM..
