Oil pressure... need help!!!
I unstored my car (1986 GXL) yesterday. It started very fast and smoked a little due to the fogging oil. I drove it for a gentle ride, everything was fine. But I was not keeping my eyes on the gauges.
Today, I was still very smooth with the car and I reached 4k. But I noticed something weird: the oil pressure reads something like 10 kg/cm² even if the numbers only go from 2 to 8.
When the car idles, everything is fine, it reads 2 kg/cm². But as soon as I press the gas pedal (even on neutral) the oil pressure gauges' needle goes as far as it can; and it goes back to 2 kg/cm² after something like 1 minute.
A guy at my job told me it was quite normal. That it was because there was some dirt in the pump. Hence, the space allowed to the oil was smaller and the pressure was greater. That I just had to be gentle with the car for a while and all would become normal again.
What do you think? What's wrong with my car?

So I just changed my oil (but not the filter: it's brand new and I had to do a 30 min ride to get one) and nothing has changed. The needle is still as far as it can and stay there now, it doesn't go back to 2 kg/cm² after a while. But the car still runs like a champ! What could be the problem... the sensor maybe?
