Oil pressure hijinks

Oil pressure setup:

RB pedestal -> 90' sweep aftermarket gauge, full OMP removal, 20W50 Castrol GTX

Car starts up, oil pressure starts at about 50 PSI. Eventually warms up down to about 28 PSI.

Take it out for a spin for a bit, I notice that I'm hitting 71 PSI @ 2500 RPM (Should be bypass range, IIRC?), then mess around. I notice that I'm ALWAYS at 71 PSI at 2k rpm or above.

Stop, let it idle for a bit. It's at about 45PSI @ idle if it's been ran, tried to get it to the lower 28 PSI as noted Doesn't, is steady as a rock at that 45PSI idle if I've ran it, whereas the 28PSI is a constant @ startup and having just been warmed up.

Is there anything to worry about, or is this just "Panicky new owner who spent weeks dropping in a new engine and doesn't want to blow it" syndrome?

At least yours goes over 50 psi on oil pressure. Why not hook up an aftermarket gauge to verify?

Dont worry about it dude, i also get around 72 psi when im driving mine round and it goes a little high when boost comes in. My friends FD see's 6 bar of oil pressure at some point. If it goes lower than 2 bar then start to worry.

Mine is around 50psi when driving 15-20 idling. Might be my oil feed line to the turbo is a little to big.

Whew. That's good then, was worried about something being seriously wrong as it used to be much lower before the new engine.

However, this is measured with an aftermarket gauge.
