oil pressure gauge exceeds 110?????

my 87 gxl n/a is showing an oil pressure of over 110 which is the max on the gauge. i know i have a leeky primary injector(from a responce i got earlier. and my exhaust is not in great shape( custom weld from prev own) !!!crappy job!!!! i know that the injector had the engine running rich which eventually burned out the exhaust. since my cat turns cherry red after a few min. from startup. i just did the tun-up on it: k&n air filter, ngk plugs and wires, oil+filter, fuel filter. no problems with that. but i cant figure out why the pressure is so high. could it be cause of lack of backpressure from the "****" exhaust( which will be replaced completly soon), or because of the leeky injector???? any responce is greatly appreciated.

Its your oil pressure sending unit...gold circular thing with a wire going to it on the driver's side of the block.

If your cat is getting cherry red after only a few min, it is prolly shot by now...a good guess with be all the excess from from a leaking injector and age. If you can pull it off and check its condition. If you have access to a mechanical gauge, i would throw it on there and see what the pressure is really reading.
