Exclamation oil pressure gauge

my oil pressure gauge usually reads 30 or less ( i always figured it was broken ) but yesterday i started the car and after a few minutes of driving i looked down and it was pegged all the way to the right past the last number. i didn't change anything between day before yesterday and yesterday, so what would cause such a radical change? ( car still runs and drives fine )

Check the connector on the pressure sender. If the wire has come loose, and is grounding out somewhere, it will peg the needle.

yup deff was the feed line for the turbo. any clue what would raise the pressure high enough to cause a line to blow out?!

Is your oil cooler getting proper air flow? Do you have a FMIC possibly restricting the air flow to the oil cooler? This would raise oil temps... But enough to blow a line?

An oil leak reduces pressure.

I was going to ask how you could blow the oil feed line, since it's a metal hardline, but I noticed your title says "boost n/a 6port". I'm guessing you did some custom oil line routing for the turbo?

yea it has a oil sandwich plate with a braided line running off that to the turbo, and yea common sense that a leak lowers pressure, my question is what would make the pressure so high that it would peg the needle and make that line fail
