S5 harness questions.

i just recently picked up 90' N/A FC. the car ran flawlessly, and everything perfectly, until the previous owner decided to "put a 2j in it" and gave up shortly after ripping the wiring harness to shreds. i have everything back together, except the wiring. im fairly competent with wiring, but this harness is cut six ways to sunday and i dont know where to start. so i figured since i dont need the car on the road anytime soon, i would re-run the harness. but, eliminate all the unneccessary. the car will be used for track only, and all creature comforts will be eliminated.

with that said, ive done some reading and searching. but i havent come up with too much. is there anyone out there that can tell me anything and everything i can eliminate from the engine/ecu harness? OMP, etc. im trying to simplify the harness as much as possible.

thanks in advance

Take my opinion with a grain of salt please. You might be better off trying to run a carbed set up (sooo much easier) and you can still get really good HP maybe even better than with what your trying to do. Here's what I see will happen as soon as your ecu senses something missing, it will run in open loop which means it one or more sensors are not on. So it will run only using vital sensors and it will give a mapped amount of fuel that will make you lose lot's of power and have poor efficiency. You "might" be able to place resistors where some of the seloniods and other sensors would normaly be, but you won't be able to get away from some vital sensors. If you really want to keep your fuel injection price out some stand alone systems. If you have any questions hit me up...

well, maybe i should clarify, (thank you for the reply though, and input is appreciated). I still plan on keeping the rats nest and all that jazz, i know a lot of things i wont be able to delete without messing things up. I know the s5 fcs require a lot more sensors and input to run. my rx7 knowledge is all from a 86' 4 port NA, which needless to say, didnt require a hell of a lot to run. just tons for fuel and spark and it was happy.

I am more or less curious if someone has simplified an n/a S5 harness, and where to start. maybe a list of what sensors and solenoids i need to keep, and what i dont need to keep. or anything really. at this point, i have an old cracked engine harness thats hacked into like 20 sections. ive made a couple custom harness's for my old 240sx, but im still a little new to rotarys.
