Oil pressure condenser?

I have a non turbo 5 speed 91 rx7. I have read about the oil pressure condenser that is bolted to the slave cylinder. I looked and it is not there. I put the car on a lift to change the fuel filter, and I found the condenser which is bolted to the fuel filter bracket. The wire that was connected to it is pulled out of the condenser and hanging in mid-air. All of my gauges work. Should I disconnect the broken wire from the harness? How does my factory oil pressure gauge still work? Where can I get a new condenser?

The condenser is there in case the pressure sender fails. It is there to preserve the oil pressure gauge, but it's not needed for it to work.
