Throttle Cable - Searched Already

Is the play in the throttle cable (1-3mm i believe) measured from front to back tension or top to bottom?

Top to bottom being strumming it like a guitar string (from ground to hood) or pinching it in my fingers and sliding latterly like from tire to tire?

Does that makes sense...can't find it in the FSM.

Why does it matter? There should be SOME slack, but not so much that pressing the pedal all the way down can't make the throttle plates hit their stop.

I use a "Feeler" gauge.
I feel when the throttle opens...
Seriously though, just set it so that when the pedal starts moving the Throttle plates move too.BUT do not let the cable be so tight as to not allow the throttle to sit closed. That would be too tight.

Right on, do you know where the instruction for adjustment is in the FSM?

The "feeler" is my foot..that was a joke Son..!
It's not a Complicated task,so try not to over-think it.
The Cable needs to be just tight enough so that the throttle body is not open when your foot is off the gas pedal!.
Adjust the cable so that when you press down on the cable (inbetween the Throttle body and the Adjuster) that it is Tight enough to stay On the throttle body,But when you go to put your Finger Weight on it,that it will start opening the throttle body...and at the same time it should allow the Throttle body to close fully when you have NO weight on the cable.
That's it.go for supper..yer dun!
Note: the Main reason I would think that you do not want to have the cable Loose its that
A it could come off the Throttle body and
B you would have to Step on the gas pedal "more" to even achieve some acceleration. That momentary lapse is Maddening.
Sort of like hitting someone in the face and 5 minutes later they say: OWW!
