oil pressure bouncing around

is it normal when the oil pressure gauge in my dash bounces. it goes up and down 40-10 and just bounces up and down. doesnt go below 10 tho. im not sure what the problem is

sounds like the wire is loose or the sender is bad... clean the contacts on the sender that should fix it
