i would go out there and find out for myself how big the bolts are, but im sick right now and the weather is horrid.

could anyone tell me what size washers they used for the oil pan to help prevent leaks?

You mean for the drain plug? Remember that it's a copper washer that deforms to make a seal, you can't just use a steel one. As for the size IDK.

Try Banzai Racing.they make an Oil pan brace that wraps around the Inner groove where the Bolt holes are on the oil pan.IT reinforces the Oil pan and allows the Extra Strength to help stop Leaks.
But Honestly,a Good Oil pan gasket and a Good amount of RTV will prevent the oil pan from leaking.
PS: do not Overtighten the nuts on the oil pan.they Bust rather easily(check the torque specs!).

well its a cheap alternative to the banzai one.

i would really order the banzai one, but money is tight for me right now.

using washers around the bolts that hold the pan one is supposed to help.

i was going to use the RTV, but ive searched and saw mixed opinions on using a gasket. some people are for it, some people say there have been no problems without the gasket.

i was gonna use the rtv and use washers since im going to be changing my oil soon.

Due to the design, sooner or later all FC and FD oil pans leak. It is just a given because of the engine mount through the pan.

Either silicon or a properly torqued gasket will solve the problem, but figure sooner or later it will leak again.

The bolts are M6.

I use 1/4" fender washers. Fender washers are larger then regular washers.

Use a thin coat of RTV on both sides of the gasket. Make sure that the mating surfaces are perfectly clean.

Do you know what pitch they are? I am debating going to a local screw supplier and trying to buy studs to use instead of bolts. Engine is out of town so I can't just pull the bolts off and check the size.

all the 10mm head bolts and the matching nuts in the FC are 6M with a 1.0 thread.
