One is an oil level switch and the other is an oil temp switch. The level switch is for the warning light and buzzer and the temp switch is fore the sub-zero start assist. JDM engines don't have the sub-zero start assist so they don't have the temp switch.

Even Mazda recommends the removal of the sub-zero start assist system, so the temp switch is not needed and never will be.
