Oil pan hole - Cold assist plug!

It would be very difficult to find any sort of adapter to hook a gauge up there.

Plus, you're not really interested in the oil pan temp, you're interested in of the temperature of the oil in the engine!

OK. so talking about this. I got a picture just so people can see the sensor he is talking about.

I also. Happen to have a Auto Meter mechanical oil temp.
This gauge come with a 3/8 NPT and 1/2 NPT.

SO i tried the 3/8 and it goes right in there.
Here are the pics to proove it.


Again. Im not sure if this would be the best place for the oil temp.

for example it proofs that the RB oil filter adapters are not as good because it would get cooled oil from the oil cooler. Right?
