I'd run the mechanical one instead. I've heard bad things about the electronic ones.

You could just say f-it and premix.

the 88 shortblock has lower compression rotors than the 89.... this might be a problem with the 89 ECU fuel mapping... dunno...

If it doesn't have a flywheel... you'll have to get an s4 flywheel as well...

if you HAVE to use that motor, you can block the hole off and leave the s5 MOP connected to the wiring harness, and run premix... (better anyway..)

the Electircal one has to be hooked up or his ECU will go into limp mode

And yes.. the electrics are a PITA

Problem with usung the mechanical is that you have to get the T-Body linkage setup from an S4 to work on the s5 t-body.... Never done that myself

That will correct the electronic OMP problem, but you'll soon find there are other differences between those two blocks. For example, the balanced assemblies are different. Your S5 flywheel is not a good match for that S4 block.

you'll have better luck selling it by putting an ad up in the classifieds section of the forum. seems like a good deal, you'll probably have a few takers.
