oil metering pump

i am about to start my j spec.
I can't seem to get the oil injectors off the block.
i am goin to run pre mix.
can i just leave them there?
also where the oil metering pump was , there is a small sleeve.( those who have taken them off know) Do i just put the block off plate over it or does it come out some how.
thank you.

Yes, a block-off plate is what you do to block the hole where the OMP used to be.

About the oil injectors... It would be best to get them off and put a bolt in with thread sealer to block off the holes. I would recommend spraying them with some PB Blaster and trying again later. They are rather large (19mm iirc), so you should be able to get a lot of torque on them.

If you arent going to re-use the injectors just grab them with a pliers and crank them out of there. Once they are out of there the holes need to be blocked off with some bolts with thread tape on them.

And back to the block-off plate... when I took off my OMP I also took out the drive rod with the gear that runs off of the E-shaft/distrubutor gear. I guess I'm not sure exactly what you mean byt he 'sleeve'. Can you be a little more specific?

you might need to "shave" the wrench down (make it skinnier) to get it on 2 of 'em, or try a crow's foot...I'm not sure, but you might have 4 little vacuum leaks if you leave them on as is...If you have a lot of crap in the way, they're gonna be hard to get the wrench on 'em right...BTW- stick 2 dimes in the void left by the pump removal before installing the block off plate, and, if you're using the original bolts for the plate, depending on how thick it is, you might need to add some washers under the bolt head so they won't "bottom out"

don't worry about getting the drive gear/shaft outta there-it'll be O.K. until you can get at it during a rebuild (there's nothing "sticking out", right? I got my bolts from Mazdatrix- look in the pricing list on their website- they're in there somewhere, I'll see if I can find the p/n for ya...

Push the drive gear all the way in, and stick 3 dimes on top of it before placing your OMP block-off plate on.

if you leavem then you'd need the vac tube on there or you will have a vac leak at each of them.
