oil meter pump?

oil meter pump?

ok well I put a s4 motor into a s5 car and we had to switch over alot of stuff due to one enging being more mechanical and one being more electric. well the last part I need to switch over is called a oil meter pump I belive but now i need to know where it as as well as what it looks like. and input would help especially a pic would help the most. thanks in advance

The OMP is mounted on the front cover and has the lines coming out of it for the oil injectors. It is pretty much the main part thats mechanical on one and electrical on the other, so you might already have it switched. Basically, you need the front cover, omp, and TB that go with the body of the car, regardless of the series of the engine.

would this not being hooked up right be the reason my car wont stay running? but thanks guys for the info and especially the pic

If you are using the S5 ECU, you will need the S5 metering oil pump regardless or the car will go into limp mode.

By the way, the Factory Service Manual is available for download in the FAQ. It contains all this information.

Since you have an 89 (S5), yes, your car won't run right.
