Oil Line Confusion
Oil Line Confusion
Hi guys,
I drive a 1990 FC N/A. The Engine was rebuilt by Kilo Racing with some '89 parts and its been confusing me.
I have a problem with my oil cooler lines. The stock one's died and I bought new lines from Mazdatrix.
I need to know if the oil cooler has an omni-directional flow or if it has to flow so the bypass is the last part before the oil is sent back to the filter.
I've looked at the FSM's and they list the oil flow as top to bottom "bypass last" but the removal/ installation diagram list the lines as "bottom = INLET" "top = OUTLET." And the way the MZDTRX lines are composed it seems that the top line should run to the 'rear housing' not the bottom line as it is with the stock lines.
If anyone could give me some help here I'd be very happy, and then I could drive again.
Thanks.
