Oil leak. Need suggestions.
Oil leak is located at the rear iron oil cooler banjo. I have tried both copper and aluminum crush washers with out success. Its a slow leak. ABout a drop every 2 seconds at idle. The lines are corksport. I also tried putting a light layer of RTV on both sides of new crush washers.
I want to fix this without buying new lines or going -AN fittings. I plan on taking the line out and making sure it had a good clean surfaces on the banjo. What else should I try.

Have you checked the banjo bolt to see if it is Flat?
You could try that.,maybe to see if you can get it flat.
Try a thicker crush washer?

Are you sure it's not coming from above the oil cooler line? There are 2 o-rings under the oil filter pedastal that go bad and oil runs down in the area around the oil cooler line. Feel under the pedastal and see if its wet with oil. Just a thought.

Crack it from detonating the engine or over torquing the bolt? This engine.has never seen boost, rebuild has about 8 hts idle time and about 10 miles driven in vacuum. And the bolt would damage before the rear iron correct?
Next to try is taking line out. Resurfacing banjo faces using flat surface and fine grit sand paper with another pair of copper crush washers. Block had a brand new rear iron and crush washer area has already been checked. Nice
Flat and smooth.

Another thing ive read is to heat up the copper crush washer. What about this?
So I got off work abd went ti make sure it was dry above the banjo. It was wet.... and it turns out i left the oil press sending unit hand tight. I had removed it before to try and after market gauge adaptet that didnt work out.
Leak fixed after tightning the sender.
