Well...if you remove the injectors and oil pump without adding premix to your gas tank, then yes, you will destroy your engine.

Destruction will be iminent without pre-mix if you remove the injectors... You should block them off as well... don't think it would work right it they were left open.

it is actually good for you to pull and block the OMP in that you will be able to more safely run a heavy synthetic oil in your engine to get some longevity out of it. the problem is that the engine becomes more high maintenance. you would need to add a mixture to the fuel so that the engine still gets the oil that it needs for the apex seals. you will also need to make sure this mixture is accurate or...zoom zoom boom. i would only do this on either a sunday driver or on a car that i was absolutely sure that no one else was going to attempt to fuel up. personally, i won't do it. that is my opinion though.

You can run synthetic with the metering oil system just fine.

Mazda's original recommendation not to do it was based on 20+ year old formulations.

As others have said, if you remove the metering oil system you must then run premix so the rotor seals and housings stay lubricated.

Yes, and we have kits now with properly sized metric thread port plugs for installation in the housings where the oil injectors are.
