Oil injector washers

I am kind of stuck for the day on putting my motor back together. Short a few washers for the oil injectors/banjos. I called local mazda parts with the part number (9956-21-000) only 1 in stock. 2 day wait. I found a similar spec washer on o'reily's website, but I guess the local store(formerly kragen) doesnt carry the same shelf parts. I have to run down there and try to find a match. I was just wondering if anyone else had a experience using non oem washers here? sounds like brake washers are the application for the part I looked up online.

They're just copper crush washers. You can get them off the shelf at any parts store.

For future reference, if you want to reuse them, all you have to do is heat them up with a $5 plumber's torch until they're red hot and then cool them. You can let them air cool or dunk them in some water, either way works. This is called 'annealing', and it softens the copper again after they've been work hardened to the point they no longer seal.

I found mine at Tri-power hydraulic in Warwick, RI. They had an exact match. Measure them with a caliper and call them up. I'm sure they wouldn't mind sticking them in an envelope if you grab some extras and toss them a few bucks. I think their minimum credit card purchase has to be 5$.

... And they are a bitch to find. Took me all day of cruising on the ninja. I stopped at tons of places.
