oil gauge

i have a vdo oil pressure gauge and when i put it in it only stays at 20psi what would the problem be and the one in the car works so i don't think it would the sender

Your VDO is connected to a VDO sender unit. Right??? If going to the original factory sender unit, I wouldn't be surprised that it read wrong. I be confused. As in , I am confused.

Did the VDO gauge instructions say it was to work with the factory sending unit????????

i bought it from a friend but it was new and it did not come with instructions and they don't come with it's own
sender

thats why you dont buy VDO gauges. They dont come with anything.

No you are not suppose to use the stock sender with that, you are suppose to use the VDO sender.

Oh yeah, how did you get your stock gauge to worka fter you remove it

you unplugged the stock sending wire, plug in the VDO one, it still works?

Just go and buy a VDO oil pressure sender. Take your gauge along so you get the right one.
