Cool Oil filter pedestal o-ring change HOWTO

http://dionysus.ka.net/floyd/haxx0r/...ing/index.html

Hope this helps.. It's real easy to do, and a good idea, even if they don't leak. If anyone sees anything blatantly wrong with it, PLEASE let me know.. I don't want to misinform the public on this.

Tesla,
When you change the PD, DO NOT forget that little plastic spacer underneath that came from your old rail. I'm told its important to put it back in place.

Great info and pics! I just got the o-rings yesterday at the dealer. Just hope I can fit a torque wrench in that cramped space.

Yo,

You the man!! I'm going to do that next time I change my oil. Can you point out where the heater hose is? I might want to replace that as well for paranoia's sake. *grin*

Thanks for the great info!

I was starting to wonder if this went unnoticed.. Good to see that it'll help someone.. I'll see if I can snap a few more photos to show where the heater hose is..

As for the torque wrench, I personally didn't worry about it.. I sorta guestimated what 6-8 lb*ft felt like, and used that.. you won't be able to fit one down there--trust me!
