Question oil filter odd?

Hey everyone. I changed my oil and oil filter over the weekend and just remembered that when I took out the oil filter there was hardly any oil in it.

Is that unusual?

By the way I used castrol 20w50 and a KN oil filter.

Pretty normal. The filter has an anti-drainback valve with prevents oil from exiting the filter once it enters. So it was probably full of oil, you just didn't see any come out.
