Oil Disappearing

Recently i noticed my oil has been disappearing about a quart every couple hundred miles. It is a 88 turbo 2 and is not smoking alot at all little on start up and a little here and there. There are no leaks and i have searched and seen two things that it might be the oil control ring or the turbo. The engine is a jspec(40,000-50,000) and has good compression. Starts and runs fine but my spark plugs have been fouling out but i think my injectors are going. The turbo is s5 with a different turbine and had little side to side play when i put it on.

Sounds a lot like worn oil o-rings. If it's not leaking, then it's being burned.

You can check the turbo for oil by pulling the TID and downpipe. Any oil in the downpipe shows a seal leak. It's normal to get a little oil in the TID, but it should not be pooling.

Yea it might be but it does seem to smoke after i shut it off but it is not heavy smoke at all. When i searched a guy said to hold the car at 4500 and see if it starts to smoke heavy and that tests the oil o rings is that true? And forgot to tell you i put in a thermal pellet and i mantain about 35-40 psi at idle and about 65-80psi depending on they way i drive and is that normal?

I would say either 3 things.. turbo leaking internally, engine oil seals, or maybe the omp is inoperating and pouring oil in the engine.

O and i have another question i broke down last night and it cut out and me and my friends pushed it into a parking lot. Found out my intercooler popped off but i replaced the fuel pump thinking that was why it would start and stall and replaced it with my Walbro Fuel Pump but is that too much fuel it is basiclly stock except rb rev2 exhaust s5 turbo with 60-1 internals stock boost.

It could also be a failed oil injector. As in it's internal check valve gone south. Check 'em out per the FSM, Lubrication section. Don't need a Waldo on a stock car.

Yea i just did the 4500 thing and it does not smoke while holding it at 4500 but smokes after you let off and idle down then it goes away. I will start trobleshooting i have like 2 of everything for the engine so i should have some oil injectors and a good omp then i will try switching the turbo with one of my s4s if that does not work.
