CA oil cooler questions

ok so i have an 86 fc n/a 30,000 miles on factory reman mazda oem thermo stat, new radiator, coolant seals good still....lols better be for 30k!!!!!as you can tell i have had an overheating problem were i would do a 10 second full power pul and my temp gauge pops to halfway(s4's are 1/4 gauge normal temp) now i just replaced my oil cooler lines because they had a high pressure leak while doing so cleaned the cooler of debris. still no difference so i came to the conclusion it must be the oil cooler. so with that in mind im asking all the knowledgable people where can i get a cheap oil cooler besides junkyards. or if its possible to get it rebuilt. i did a web search and found one on mazdatrix i think for 700$ wich is out of my price range. also on a side note it seems the stock rx7 oil cooler is higher peerformance than any aftermarket oil cooler. bunch of people with ae86's and 240sx's running them.

please help it pains me not to drive it like i stole it!!!!!

Rebleed the coolant system before throwing parts at it.

yea this is not a oil cooler problem. it overheats fast it sounds like. maybe you have nasty coolant or its real low. but its cooling system for sure

I had a similar problem with overheating after a high rpm session. Turns out it was a sticking thermostat.

ok so i bled the system and pretty much drained the radiator as well. i did heater on with bleed screw open. still no difference. im going to use a temp gun to see if my radiator has cold spots as well as the oil cooler. btw what temp should the oil cooler be i heard its around 145-160F?

I think that's way low.
My oil- measured in the oil pan- runs @160°-180° in the winter and 180-200° in the summer.
Higher in traffic/low speed, cooler on the highway.
