Oil cooler lines?

So let me start off, 88 s4 FC N/a GXL. a little over 95k on original motor no mods on engine, basically stock besides exhaust.

a couple of weeks ago i went for an oil change and left, went for a short drive around and hit a small pot hole. When i got home i noticed i was leaking a good amount of oil. I parked the car for a week and then topped off the oil and went back to the place, thinking the oil drain nut may be loose or something. The guy said w/e it is, they didnt do it and that the oil was leaking from somewhere else. I remembered about hitting the pot hole and thought i may have just broken the oil pan/gasket. I looked around the engine bay and noticed my oil cooler lines were a little bit wet. Today i brought it to a mechanic and he said that my oil cooler lines were done. Now im wondering should i buy

http://mazdatrix.com/getprice.asp?partnum=PT11910

OR

http://www.corksport.com/corksport-s...s-for-rx7.html

The guy said it would be $344.69 for the part and then $212.50 for the labor, im not quite ready to dish out 557.19 + tax= 606.64

Which of those parts should i buy? and how hard is it for an average person to replace it?

Any help is great

no... its not. do it all from under the car.

also, remove the oil cooler. its only 4 bolts, but keep in mind the lines. where they bolt up to on the cooler, and where that lines bolts up to the engine.

its an easy swap. takes about an hour.

there will be oil in the lines. expect to get it all over.

You could even buy a used set from the for sale section dirt cheap. Like mentioned before, it's pretty easy to change them out.

not a good idea.

OP. take lines off, go to a hydraulics shop, and get then redone. they will cost about 30 bucks per line.

I was thinking the same, i dont want someone else's worn/beat parts that are likely to fail again. I think i might just go and get the steel braided ones from corksport and have a friend of mine help me change it.

Thanks for the help/advice

Also im wondering, do i have an issue with my BAC valve? Sometimes on a cold startup it will shoot up to 3k as usual but slowly descend to the point it stalls out (if i dont tap the gas)

You can see in the beginning of that video. Where is the bac located and what do i have to do to fix it?

If I got some again I would get the Racing Beat lines with the -AN fittings. It isn't that hard to put the lines on just annoying.
