oil cooler line leak-under dipstick end

Noticed a slight leak, I took off the 23mm bolt, it has 2 washers one between engine and line, one between line and 23mm bolt. Is this correct, don't have a torque wrench but should this be extremely tight to prevent a drip? Thanks.

Yup... should have two copper washers, just like you described.

Make sure everything is very very clean before you put it back together, dirt between the mating surfaces can result in a leak.

If you don't have a torque wrench, use a 1/2 drive ratchet and crank her down pretty good,, but you don't have to be king kong about it. Just so it don't leak

DON'T OVERTIGHTEN these bolts. If you do, the oil cooler will crack and you'll have a bigger problem on your hands. Replace with new washers (both top and bottom) and tighten to about 30 FT-LBS. Get a torque wrench, they're cheap (the beam type anyway).
