oil cooler banjo removal question.

oil cooler banjo removal question.

My high pressure line sprung a leak. I have purchased new hose and cannot take the 23mm banjo bolts out the oil cooler. Can anybody tell me how to get them out. i tried to follow the steps in this thread https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ing+oil+cooler.

I used an 18 inch breaker bar. The rubber mounts flexed a lot, but once you break loose the lock washer it should come right off. Though impact is best of course.

i don't have a impact gun, so breaker bar it is. one of my rubber mounts has rotted away will a breaker bar still work? thanks again.

You may have to have a friend brace the oil cooler so it doesnt rip out of its mounts.

I had some trouble breaking the banjo bolt loose. i did it by attaching a monkey wrench to the banjo bolt and taking my 10' breaker bar and poping the bolt loose. The other one i knocked loose with my impact gun. If i were you, id find a way to get an impact gun on the bolt with the right socket. My way fucked the bolt

I got a 23mm deep socket from autozone and a breaker bar. Stuck the handle from my 3 ton jack on there and had them off in a few seconds.
