Odd Clutch Issue

I know somebody has a quick answer so I will venture forward and ask --- I replaced and rebuild the transmission about a year ago, so I think everything is ok there, but recently the began engaging while the clutch pedal is on the floor!

Not always, but every so often I am holding in the clutch in and it engages, leaving the clutch pedal is stuck to the floor. I have to pull it pack up with my foot. Getting it out of gear can be a real pain too when it does this. Clutchless shifting has been useful

But - my suspicion is that the seal in the clutch master cylinder is shot. My friend already bled the clutch system and this did not help. Any thoughts or other suggestions?

Thanks!

sounds like a hydrolic problem for sure wither the master or slave... or hell maybe even a leaky hose

I had this problem, the Slave was no good, had to replace it. Might want to think about getting a new clutch?

hydraulics. Best bet is to replace the master and the slave. Hose is optional.
No you don't need a new clutch.

Thanks, I think the slave may have already been replaced a few years ago. I will check my receipts and if it was I will definitely just get a master.

i suggest not driving until the car is fixed. my 7 did that for two days and my master cylinder finally decided to die on me. i think its the master, but you may want to consider changing both if both parts are old.
