If it's on ebay for an "ebay price" best advice is to steer clear.

I've seen a couple of people using them and were happy with them, they had NAs though.

well... for approx $80-120 you could get a torsen unit from a miata (for NA case) or FD (for turbo case), which will last for the life of the vehicle unless you're putting out 400+ hp.

LOL $120 for a Miata torsen? Thats a bit optimistic. They go for $3-400 for just the pumpkin.

Ask yourself this first: Is anything OBX worth it?

You'll be taking a risk, let's put it that way. Who knows, you may be just fine and it might hold up for the life of the car with absolutely no issues.. but, chances are something will go wrong and you'll be out a few hundred bucks for no good reason.

Try it and report back. All these guys are making claims about a product they havent used.

I'm not saying they are wrong, but if you havent used it and dont know anyone that has, the point is kind of.... slanted

ask yourself, how many forum members here even try modding their cars outside of OEM parts? *coilovers is one issue, alot of forum members dont even consider em*.

I do not have any experience with the OBX units, but i havent heard of any negatives about it on other rwd forums.. But id rather go with a OEM NA LSD and repack/rebuild it.

Alot of people judging OBX because their name isnt that great... I could do the same for rims, ROTA and Sportmax is garbage, but alot of guys rock em here lol

I personally have had good luck with some OBX Headers on my truck and i know a few guys that have used some other OBX things. Overall for the price they were all pretty happy. In the case of my headers, i got them for dirt cheap, expected them to be junk but was surprised to find REAL stainless stell headers show up. The design could have been a little better but the build quality was quite good actually.

What i am saying is, people underate ebay stuff. Ebay doesn't mean bad. There is good stuff there just like any other website. Now that doesn't mean there aren't bads things on ebay, there are plently of those as well.

But if you are on a tight budget then try it. Out of all the things i have got off ebay, i am rarely really disopointed. but then i also buy smart.

I got the torsen differential from an FD for $80, and im sure you could grab a torsen LSD from a miata at a pick-and-pull for that or less.
